In Memory of Dr. James Albright

Dr. James Albright was instrumental in getting the SportONE program off the ground in the spring of 1990.  He served as the team physician for several local high schools and colleges before his untimely death from cancer in the late spring of 1992.

Dr. Albright was committed in a special way to the safety and care of local athletes.  We at SportONE continue to carry on that same tradition of care and dedication to our patients and athletes today.  We extend our profound gratitude to  Dr. Albright and his family for what he helped to begin so long ago.  This golf outing is in his memory to raise funds to help support and encourage local athletics and sports medicine.

In 2005 SportONE and Orthopaedics Northeast used some of the money raised by the Albright Memorial Fund to purchase 15 AEDs for use in area schools as well as continue the scholarship fund for area athletes.

In 2004 SportONE and Orthopaedics Northeast used some of the money raised by the Albright  Memorial Fund to purchase 10 AEDs for use in area schools as well as establish a scholarship fund for area athletes.  Plans for the 2005 outing include purchasing up to 15 more AEDs as well as several additional donations to local schools to improve their athletic training and athletic facilities.
